WordBook Dictionary App Reviews

My favorite app!

I love the audio pronunciation for each and every word. The real voice recorded by Susan Barnes is the best. The feature to tap on any text in definitions, in word links, in the thesaurus and even in etymology or in other web integrated dictionaries is the most outstanding of this dictionary. Everything is just a tap away.

Essential

For me a good, handy dictionary is a necessity, and wordbook has been my digital dictionary of choice for many years now. Visually it is clean and uncluttered, and easy to navigate. It has all the features I want: definitions, sure, but also a thesaurus, word discovery, and a feature to help you find the word youre looking for even if you dont know exactly how its spelled.

Home screen star!

This app quickly earned its place on my home screen, and has stayed there for years. Easy to use, accurate, available offline, and nearly always provides the answer that I need.

Phenomenal Dictionary

Not sure what more there is to say. Its vast, it has lucid definitions that link to other words, it has a thesaurus, it has a built-in Wikipedia search feature, and it even has IPA pronunciations for people who can use em. And its all local. Ive never thought about another dictionary app.

Buy!!!!!

It is worth buying. Very very helpful. It helps me express my thoughts well. I had this for years now and I am happy with it. Sharp as a razor.

Its OK

Nice features, very handy .... except about 30% of the time it falls short for me. This is like only having 2/3 of a dictionary. And the Word solver is very poor. I know more words than the puzzle/word solver & it returns a very limited list

Webster Dictionary is very useful and pretty fast to give clear definition .

Thats very useful and pretty fast to give clear examples or definitions.

Bug with iOS 9

Great app, have used it for some time now including on my watch. However, have noticed that after iOS 9 update, the spotlight search to find this app on my phone is unable to find it installed on the phone. This may very well be a bug in the newly released iOS 9, but I am able to find other apps. I have a lot of apps on my phone, so the convenience of doing a quick search and selecting that way is helpful.
