iPhoneアプリの英英辞典では、これまで、American Heritage Desk Dictionaryを使ってたんだけど、まあ、ごっついデスク版辞書がポケットサイズになってるってのがお得というくらいの感動しかなかったんだけど、こいつはすごい！ お値段もお手ごろだし、やっぱりスマートフォン用の辞書として定評があるだけあって、ハイパーリンクで類義語にジャンプできたりする便利な機能もいいね。 対抗馬としては、Pocket Oxford English Dictionaryもあったんだけど、こちらは内容が本格派（とはいえ、あくまでもコンテンツはPocket版）だけど、2300円と高額。じゃ、 Oxford English Minidictionaryにすれば？となると、内容がかなりミニにになってて、このWordBookのような機能があるわけでもなくて、しかも 1200円。紙の書籍ベースの辞典がデジタルになっただけでは、やっぱり物足りない。これくらいの工夫がなくちゃ。（でも、お気に入りの単語の登録機能って何に使うんだろ？） 本格的な英英辞典ということであれば、American Heritage Dictionary 4th edition（3500円）って大辞典があるわけなんだけど、iPhone/ iPod touchで気軽に単語を調べるだけなら、このWordBookで十分じゃないかな？オススメです！

Nothing special. Can do audios. Thats it pretty much. Been using it for awhile though. Sometimes I couldnt find the words I was looking for. Would love to see a section for building vocabulary. A drill page or something.

not at functionality of the app, but your decision of not supporting iPad and making us existing users to pay extra for an iPad version. You support iPhone4, then you should at least make the app run in hi-res on iPad.

Very easy to use.

It is better than most unabridged dictionaries but wish that its creators would avoid circular definitions among synonyms, e.g., "splenetic." Also, I have noticed a reduction in information (via the thesaurus, etymological explanations, etc.) for entries, which is somewhat disappointing.

If they do away with Internet connection requirement, it would get my five-star backing! Heck, I just gave them a high-five HOPING the sound download be a paid option.

If you simply need a dictionary or thesaurus to get quick definitions or a few synonyms that might be better than what first comes to mind, then for the price this gets the job done.

Truly an excellent dictionary! Look no further for another one. The pronuanciation feature is especially superb.
